Client –
Bookworm Gardens
A non-profit organization with botanical gardens inspired by children’s literature which has a mission to enrich the minds, bodies, and spirits of the young and young at heart by creating a garden environment centered around children’s literature for exploration and learning.
My Role –
Graphic and UX Designer
I helped create the concept and design of an AR app and Membership Package for the Bookworm Gardens.
Membership Package – I created this with the help of their brand’s aesthetic, ensuring it was a cohesive and visually appealing representation of the garden and books for members and guests who are interested in helping Bookworm Gardens.
AR App- With the help of my professor, K8 Prange, who knew my interest in UX/UI design, she pitched the idea of an app for Bookworm Gardens. I then went on to help conceptualize the app and create solutions that it could provide for future guests who would like to interact in the gardens virtually or in real life.
Membership Package Form
Dana, the Director of Marketing and Communications at Bookworm Gardens, requested a Membership Package Form for guests to review and sign up. In response, I developed several concepts, and Dana particularly liked the bookshelf design I sketched. I brought this bookshelf concept to life, but my professor, K8, felt it needed an additional element. She suggested incorporating the Bookworm Gardens gate, enabling guests to interact with the form by opening the gate as seen below.
Concept - Bookworm Gardens AR App
I sought a way for this AR app to benefit both the guests and the gardens. I proposed creating an app that would enhance guest interaction with Bookworm Gardens both virtually and in real life. The app provides a fun and engaging way for guests to discover which parts of the garden are dedicated to specific children’s books.
Below, you will find images of the proposed app interface. For a more interactive experience, please click this link: https://xd.adobe.com/view/b5a7a3c4-79c2-4d50-a57c-0a13755ab092-e0f4/
